Lion Star Academy (LSA), formerly known as Abi’s Place, has transformed the lives of extraordinary students since 2005. LSA knows that every kid with special needs possesses a light that when nurtured, sparks a discovery of their unique gifts and talents. We leverage the Family Centered Approach to partner with families in fostering the optimal environment for a student’s mental, physical and emotional development and well-being. Our vision is to combine innovative therapies, cutting edge technologies and holistic education to empower students in unlocking their greatest potential. Lion Star Academy has three funding initiatives: Capacity, Innovation and Programs.
CAPACITY
Organizational resources enable us to remain healthy and to thrive, while maintaining our primary focus on offering holistic development programming to students. Capacity allows us to fulfill our mission and build strategies to achieve our vision, measure internal effectiveness and impact, as well as develop long term strategic plans.
INNOVATION
Applying innovative technologies to support our students allows them to not only unlock their greatest potential but to become more independent. Innovation provides the platform for our educational programming to be customized for each student’s individualized and specialized needs.
PROGRAMS
We address the holistic development of our students with three programmatic focus areas: Life Skills, Education and Therapies. We leverage the Family Centered Approach to work in partnership with families, creating the best environment for a child’s mental, physical and emotional well-being. This allows us to connect with families in an intimate and unique way.
